Lea Pearson established Stone by Stone Productions in 2014 with the vision of film production.
Her vision involved working with women from various stages of life, including those who had been incarcerated, because she believed that women have compelling stories to share, and she felt compelled to be the one to tell them.
Lea's personal life took a dramatic turn in 1996 when she was diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer. After 27 years in remission, Lea was introduced to an incredible film producer who agreed to capture her breast cancer journey on film; she would be the first woman to have her story told by his film production company.
This story was given the title "Entertaining Angels," reflecting her journey. It begins with a college student studying for exams discovering a lump in her breast while watching a drama series called "Chicago Hope." With the support of God, family, friends, and modern medicine, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, she is here 27 years later to conclude her story and share her journey. As a Master Barber, Lea understands firsthand the impact of losing hair.
Her latest endeavor is to provide haircuts to women in her local area to help them feel good, even as they experience hair loss. This short film was completed in September 2023 and is gaining attention and interest with the support of a professional team leading the way.
